Two persons die in road mishap

Bijnor (UP), Jan 13 (PTI) Two persons were killed andanother was seriously injured when a car in which they weretravelling collided with a bus coming from the oppositedirection on Barrage Road, police said today.

The accident occurred yesterday near the Ganga Barrageon Meerut-Pauri highway when the car was on its way to Meerut,they said.

The deceased have been identified as Subhash Bansal, abusinessman, and his car driver Saleem, police said, adding,Saleem died on the spot.

Subhash Bansal and his wife Kumud Bansal were firstreferred to the district hospital and later to Meerut, whereSubhash succumbed to injuries, police said.

The condition of Kumud is stated to be critical, theysaid.

The driver of the bus fled the scene immediately afterthe accident, leaving the bus behind.
