TN Govt to reivew price situation

Chennai, Jan 12 (PTI) Facing flak from Opposition AIADMKand the Left parties for its alleged failure to controlprices, the Tamil Nadu Government today said it would hold areview meeting on Jan 14 under Chief Minister M Karunadnidhito chalk out the future strategies.

The meeting would review the measures taken so far, a stategovernment release here said.

The consultative meeting will also discuss the measures tobe implemented jointly with the Centre, the release added.

The DMK has been facing criticism from various quarters forits alleged failure to control prices with the issueresonating in the ongoing Assembly session.

Prices of commodities ranging from vegetables toconstruction material and others have been increasing inrecent days.
