Sugar gains on mild retail demand
Mumbai, Jan 13 (PTI) Sugar prices moved up marginally atthe Vashi Wholesale market here today on mild buying fromretailers.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) edged up by Rs five perquintal to Rs 2,911/2,991 from Thursday''s closing level ofRs 2,906/2,991.
Small sugar quality (S-30) also looked up by a similarmargin to Rs 2,891/2,931 per quintal as against Rs 2,886/2,931yesterday.
The following are today''s closing rates per quintal, withthe previous rates in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,891/2,931 (Rs 2,886/2,931) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,911/2,991(Rs 2,906/2,991).
