Shiv Sena leader arrested for youth''s murder

Shahjahanpur (UP), Jan 13 (PTI) A local Shiv Sena leaderhas been arrested on charges of killing a contractor who wasallegedly having an affair with his daughter, a senior officersaid here today.

"Satyapal Mishra, the district unit chief of Shiv Sena,was arrested yesterday for killing 20-year-old Vijay Yadav, acontractor at Reliance thermal power," DSP Rajesh Kumar said.

"Mishra, who was opposed to Vijay''s affair with hisdaughter, had asked the boy to call off the relationship.

However, the youth refused to budge following which thepolitician shot him dead," he said.

The bullet ridden body of Vijay was found near nationalhighway here on September 8 last year.

Earlier also, Satyapal was involved in a murder case, theDSP said.
