Reshuffle in Manipur ministry
Imphal, Jan 13 (PTI) Manipur Chief Minister Okram IbobiSing has reallocated portfolios among ministers in his SecularProgressive Front government whose term will end in February,next year.
Official sources said today that as per a notificationissued yesterday, former civil supply minister Y Erabot wouldnow hold the charge of the commerce and industry ministrywhile former education minister L Jayenta would look after themedical portfolio.
Irrigation and flood control minister N Biren will holdthe additional charge of food and civil supply while theeducation department has been given to the present science andtechnology minister D D Thaisi.
The sources said as per the notification, former medicalminister Ph Parijat would hold charge of the agriculturedepartment which was taken away from the social welfareminister, N Loken.
They said there were some minor changes in the portfoliosof some other ministers and added that those portfolios whichremained to be distributed would be looked after by the chiefminister.
