One person held in connection with Netai killing

Kolkata, Jan 13 (PTI) An alleged CPI-M supporter wasarrested today in connection with the killing of seven unarmedpersons on January 7 at Netai village in West Midnaporedistrict.

A senior district police officer today said that AjitHembram was arrested from Belatikri village in the Lalgarharea this morning. Two persons had earlier been arrested inthis connection.

The officer said that after interrogating him, a handcannon was seized from the village.

Asked if the CPI-M was involved in the carnage, theofficer said, "Interrogation is going on and we cannot divulgethe details now."
