Mirae Asset launches iPhone application on Emerging Markets

Mumbai, Jan 13 (PTI) Mirae Asset Financial Group todaylaunched an ''Emerging Market Experts'' iPhone application thatwill provide content and information focused on emergingmarkets.

The application will allow its users to benefit fromhighly developed capabilities of the iPhone and iPod touchuser interface to access information.

The iPhone application syncs via Wi-Fi or the user''scellular network and downloads the latest contents directly tothe device, giving readers access to up to the minute contentboth offline and in air plane mode. The application iscompatible with any iPhone or iPod touch utilising anoperating system version of 4.0 and above, the company said ina statement here.

"The application is indeed timely and apt, consideringthe vastly expanding reach of the digital media. Thisapplication will serve as a window for Indian investors togain insights into emerging markets through access to credibleinformation available on a real time basis," Mirae AssetGlobal Investments (India) Chief Executive Officer ArindamGhosh said.
