Meghalaya CM overreacting, says NCP
Shillong, Jan 13 (PTI) A day after Chief MinisterMukul Sangma criticised NCP for "trying to take mileage" outof the ethnic violence, the Opposition party today hit backsaying that he was "overreacting".
Leader of Opposition Conrad Sangma regretted the chiefminister�s "misconception about Union Minister Agatha Sangma�svisit to the troubled areas".
"When the chief minister was in New Delhi, AgathaSangma, as a responsible public representative to Centre, wentto the violence-hit places risking her safety in order tobring the situation under control," Conrad said.
"Due to her concern about the suffering of the people,Agatha Sangma cancelled her trip to Japan," he said.
Conrad said chief minister was unaware that AgathaSangma had informed Dudhnoi police station in Assam beforevisiting the relief camps there.
