GPS mapping of schools in Haryana
Chandigarh, Jan 13 (PTI) Haryana government has decidedto undertake global positioning system (GPS) mapping of allprimary, middle, high and senior secondary schools in thestate to identify locations for opening new institutes.
An official spokesman said GPS coordinates mapping of theschools was required to identify areas where new schoolsshould be opened. Besides, it would be a landmark for takingdecision on different issues by the Education Department.
He said all the District Education Officers and DistrictElementary Education Officers had been asked to depute thedata entry operators or junior programmers working in theiroffices to undergo one-day training for this at Haryana SpaceApplication Centre (HARSAC), Chaudhary Charan Singh HaryanaAgricultural University, Hisar on January 14.
