FIR lodged against BSP MLC''s uncle, two others

Auraiya, Jan 13 (PTI) An FIR has been lodged againstthe uncle of Bahujan Samaj Party legislator Vinay Shakya andtwo others for allegedly beating and shooting at an employeeof irrigation department here, police said today.

The MLC''s uncle Sanjeev Shakya, Hargovind Singh andMukesh Yadav allegedly had fired at an irrigation departmentemployee Man Singh last night, when he stopped them from"illegal mining", they said.

Sanjeev, who is also a former BSP district president,and Hargovind Singh fled from the scene soon after theincident, but Mukesh Yadav was arrested by the police.

An FIR for attempt to murder has been registeredagainst the three.
