Father rapes 20-year-old daughter in AP

Karimnagar (AP), Jan 13 (PTI) A 20-year-old girl wasallegedly raped by her drunk father in Karimnagar district ofAndhra Pradesh, police said today.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, the elderdaughter of K Srinivas (45), the incident took placeyesterday, Sircilla Circle Inspector M D Sarwar said.

The accused is a habitual drinker and used to ill treathis wife, following which she deserted him a few weeks back.

He has been since then living with his two daughters, thecomplaint said.

Yesterday, when Srinivas sexually assaulted his elderdaughter, neighbours rushed in to save her on hearing criesfor help. He was handed over to the police and has beenremanded to judicial custody.
