Sachin Tendulkar kidnap: verdict out today

The Delhi court will pronounce its verdict on the six HuJI militants who attempted to kidnap Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly way back in 2002 to secure the release of two jailed terrorists on Jan 7.
The Pak-based militants Tariq Mohammed, Arshad Khan and Ashfaq Ahmed along with their Indian counterparts Mufti Israr, Ghulam Qadir Bhatt and Ghulam Mohd Dar were held in the case. They had conspired to kidnap the cricketers to secure the release of jailed HuJI terrorists Nasarullah Langrial and Abdul Rahim.
The jailed terrorists were accused of plotting to murder former President APJ Abdul Kalam during his visit to Patna in 2002 as well as organize an attack on the Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai.
