Bangalore, Jan 7: A major setback to Lenin Kuruppan, who released Swami Nithyananda's sex video and complained of ill doings in the swami's ashram, as the Karnataka High Court squashed a petition filed by him.

The court on Thursday, Jan 6 stayed further investigation in a case against some devotees of the godman Nithyananda.

In the complaint, filed on Dec 9, Lenin had alleged that during a press conference convened by him to reveal some more details about Nithyananda, some of the devotees tried to barge into the Press Club and stop it.

Lenin also accused the Swami by claiming that the attack and agitation was done at the behest of Nithyananda as he (Lenin) was the main witness in the the sexual scandal case involving him.

Details of Nithyananda sex scam

An FIR was filed against the devotees of Nithyananda who had challenged it in the court.

A video, released by Lenin in 2010, rocked the entire nation as the tape, Swami Nithyananda and an well-known South Indian actress were seen in a compromising situations.
