CES 2011: Microsoft Surface 2.0 with Gorilla glass

The new Surface 2.0 was unveiled during the Microsoft's keynote address at CES on Wednesday, Jan 5. Surface 2.0 is powered by a multicore CPU and GPU by AMD. This new version will use 4-inch super-tough Gorilla Glass on the top.

Surface 2.0 was showcased by Steven Sinofsky, President of the Windows and Windows Live division. Sinofsky said that new Surface will be manufactured by Samsung in a partnership with Microsoft. It uses new PixelSense technology which enables to read any documents placed on the Surface.
Microsoft officials added that new Surface will be placed in more places like bars, kiosks etc. The Royal Bank of Canada will be one of the first customers of Surface 2.0.
