Lalu seeks enhanced protections for MLAs

Following the incident RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Tuesday, Jan 4, strongly condemned the killing of ruling BJP MLA and demanded for a inquire into the case.
"I strongly condemn the incident. Police should undertake a thorough probe," Lalu said.
"Killing of MLA is a shame and it tarnishes the image of a state it will be better if proper steps are taken to prevent it," the RJD leader said.
He said, "even the complaint of the woman attacker Rupan Pathak who stabbed the MLA to the death be inquired into."
Lalu suggested that the state government should take immediate steps for ensuring proper security of MLAs and some distance be maintained in course of visitors meeting public representatives.
