CBI quizzes Raja on 2G scam

New Delhi, Dec 23: Former Telcom Minister and key suspect of 2G mega scam A Raja, appeared before the CBI on Friday, Dec 24.

Raja is being quizzed by CBI, after more than two-months following his resignation in 2G scam controversy. Raja all along continued to assert, that his hands are clean and he is innocent.

The DMK leaders admitted that alleged involvement of Raja in 2G scam is an embarrassment for the party. “Raja being probed by CBI is an embarrassment for the party, " TKS Elangovan DMK leader.

The opposition leaders claimed that Raja's probe is too late. “Too little to late," BJP.

Raja stated that he is ready to appear in front of CBI on Wednesday, Dec 22. Raja's associate Nirra Radia has been quizzed twice by CBI.

The million dollar question in this case, did Raja misused is power to bend the rules of selection process in 2G spectrum allocation?.

According to sources Raja's associates, RK Chandolia and AK Srivastava may turn approvers to CBI against him. Former Telecom Secretary DS Mathur, already a witness in 2G scam case.
