A Raja's hands are clean: Karunanidhi

Chennai, Dec 22: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi, has made a statement to defend A Raja related to his alleged involvement in 2G muti-crore scam. He ( M Karunanidhi) said in his customary letter to his party's official daily Murasoli that, “What people have seen, heard are not true. Only the investigation can reveal the truth."

Karunanidhi also stated that, only couple of news paper and opposition parties claimed that A Raja had misused his power in 2G spectrum allocation and plundered 1.76 lakh crore. The Comptroller Auditor General (CAG) report is just an assumption and the actual loss would be calculated soon.

Karunanidh said that, he is ready to support JPC probe into 2G spectrum allocation scam.

Earlier he said JPC probe is not necessary for this issue as the parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC) would be sufficient to investigate. However, he rejected that he was against the JPC probe.
