Nifty closes below 5800 level

Mumbai, Dec 9: Market closed on loss. BSE Sensex shed more than 500 points and Nifty stucked below 5800 level.

BHEL, BPCL, HPCL, Sterlite Industries, Jindal Steel, GAIL, ACC, Ambuja Cements, ITC, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank and TCS were witnessing buying interest.

At 4.50 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,242.36 down 454.12 points and NSE Nifty was 5,766.50 down 137.20 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Axis Bank.

The top gainers were ITC up 0.33 percent, Wipro up 0.41 percent, and Infosys up 0.65 percent.

The top losers were Reliance Com down 6.02 percent, Suzlon Energy down 5.96 percent, Hindalco down 5.52 percent and Reliance Infra down 6.83 percent.

Sensex drops more than 200 points
Trading continued in red. There was no changes reflecting in market and Sensex dropped more than 200 points. The Nifty was at 5850 level.

BHEL, BPCL, HPCL, Sterlite Industries, Jindal Steel, GAIL, ACC, Ambuja Cements, ITC, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank and TCS were witnessing buying interest.

At 2.45 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,354.02 down 342.46 points and NSE Nifty was 5,794.60 down 109.10 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Axis Bank.

The top gainers were Axis Bank up 1.35 percent, Wipro up 0.51percent, and Infosys up 1.11 percent.

The top losers were Reliance Com down 6.02 percent, Cipla down 5.07 percent, Hindalco down 4.82 percent and Reliance Infra down 6.11 percent.

The NSE Nifty trading below 5900 showed the downtrend in financial, metal, power, cement, telecom, select auto and Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group companies shares.

Market opens on -Ve note; financials dip
The benchmark Nifty started trade on negative note on lack of global cues. Nifty was hovering around 5900 level with selling in financials, telecom, Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and select metal companies' shares.

At 09.50 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,673.43 down 23.05 points and NSE Nifty was 5,893.90 down 9.80 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Axis Bank.

The top gainers were Axis Bank up 2.92 percent, BPCL up 2.02 percent, Sun Pharma up 0.97 percent and Infosys up 0.93 percent.

The top losers were Reliance Com down 4.44 percent, IDFC down 3.01 percent, HDFC down 2.91 percent and Suzlon Energy down 1.59 percent.
