Mumbai police arrests 2 linked to Varanasi blast

Police said that two people were arrested in connection with the email sent after the bomb blast. An email has been received to media houses claiming that the blast was triggered by terrorist group Indian Mujahideen.
Later, the investigative team traced the email and found that it was sent from a call centre in the Mumbai suburb of Malad. Police said that the email was sent from an ID that belongs to a little known group called Al-Fateh.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati visited the site and called for the peace. Home Ministry has announced high alert in the country. States are asked to keep alert in all parts of the main cities.
The blast ocured around 6.00 pm on Tuesday, Dec 7 at Shitla Ghat in Varanasi. Police said that the terrorists aimed for maximum casualty by triggering it in the crowded street. But the low intensity of the bomb reduced the casualty.
