J-K Police organises wrestling competition in Reasi
Reasi (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec.8 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Police has organised a two-day long traditional wrestling competition in Reasi district to encourage youths to showcase their talent.
Many freshers participated in the event and said they were happy because the event was organized after decades.
"Due to the militancy, the wrestling competition is organsied here after a gap of 20 years. I participated for the first time and this has been a good competition," said Umar Haseen, a fresher.
Police officials said such events were good confidence-building measures, and would promote better understanding between residents and security forces.
"In this area, there are very few recreational facilities, but the people here are extremely talented. We organise such cultural and sports activities to bring out the talent and improve the relationship between the police and the residents. Today's activity has been a tremendous success," said Gulzar Singh Slathia, the Director General of Police. By Jabbar Choudhary (ANI)
