Nifty closes on flat note; 77 points down

Mumbai, Dec 6: Market closes on loss. All the gains were wiped off after financial, telecom and select healthcare companies' shares along with ITC, L&T and Hero Honda was sold out.

Nifty came down by 77 points.

At 5.04 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,981.31 up 14.38 points and NSE Nifty was 5,992.25 down 0.55 points.

The most active in trading were Tata Motors,Tata Steel.

The top gainers were Tata Motors up 3.28 percent, Tata Steel up 3.34 percent, Jindal Steel up 2.82 percent and Sterlite Ind up 3.56 percent.

The top losers were Hero Honda down 3.52 percent, Reliance Comm down 2.83 percent, SBI 3.86 percent and PNB down 3.69 percent.

The market is looming around 6050 level on a soft note. The BSE Midcaps and Smallcaps were doing trading in green showing gains

The trading was supported by metals, oil&gas, power, IT and auto stocks.

The top losers were Hero Honda down 2.77 percent, Reliance Comm down 2.48 percent, SBI 1.89 percent and ICICI Bank down 1.93 percent.

Market moving on a strong note. The Nifty gained more than 70 points and stepping towards 6100 level, likely to overcome all negatives.

At 12.55 hrs, BSE Sensex was 20,163.84 up 196.91 points and NSE Nifty was 6,054.45 up 61.65 points.

The top gainers were Tata Motors up 4.45 percent, Jaiprakash Asso up 3.54 percent, Hindalco up 3.54 percent and Suzlon Energy up 3.48 percent.

The top losers were Hero Honda down 2.84 percent, BPCL down 1.57 percent, SBI 1.25 percent and ICICI Bank down 0.83 percent.

Nifty opens on strong note, above 6k
Buying in oil & gas exploration, metal, technology, telecom and select financial companies' shares helped benchmark Nifty to gain in the opening trades.

The Nifty was trading above 6000 level and BSE Sensex above 20000 mark.

Sterlite Industries, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, Tata Steel, JSPL, ONGC, Reliance Industries, Hindalco, SAIL, HUL, ICICI Bank, HDFC and IDFC were on buyers' radar.

At 10.10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 20,174.95 up 208.02 points and NSE Nifty was 6,056.00 up 63.20 points.

The most active in trading were Tata Steel, Tata Motors, SBI, Jindal Steel.

The top gainers were Tata Steel up 3.76 percent, Suzlon Energy up 3.68 percent, Hindalco up 3.51 percent and Tata Motors up 3.43 percent.

The top losers were Hero Honda down 2.41 percent, BPCL down 1.25 percent, ITC 0.99 percent and Power Grid Corp down 0.35 percent.
