AP Cabinet crisis: Moily & Azad to meet rebels

Hyderabad, Dec 2: Congress has started measures to solve the crisis in Andhra Pradesh government, which has been under pressure after the resignation of Tourism Minister Vatti Vasantha Kumar.

Sources reported that Union Law Minister and AICC in-charge of Andhra Pradesh, Veerappa Moily and Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad have spoke to Andhra Minister Sathyanarayan.

According to reliable sources, Sathyanarayan was behind the revolt against the new Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Meanwhile, the rebel leaders including Botsa Satyanarayana, Danam Nagender, Ponnala Laxmaiah, Komitireddy Venkat Reddy, Kasu Venkatakrishna Reddy have met CM Kiran Kumar Reddy. They have expressed their dissatisfaction for the new porfolios and for low recognition of Telangana in the new Cabinet.

Earlier on the day, Tourism Minister Vatti Vasantha Kumar submitted his resignation letter to Speaker. He was not happy with the portfolio received in the new Cabinet.

Sources added that more ministers would resign from the new Cabinet, which took charge on Wednesday, Dec 1.
