Kiran Kumar Reddy takes oath as Andhra Pradesh CM

Hyderabad, Nov 25: 50-year-old Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday, Nov 25 has sworn in as one of the youngest Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Reddy has taken the oath from the Governor ESL Narasimhan and the ceremony was attended by Congress leader M Veerappa Moily, Ghulam Nabi Azad and the former chief minister K Rosaiah.

Amid speculations that who would be the CM of the state, on Nov 24 Pranab Mukherjee announced Congress' decision that former Assembly Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy would be given the power of the state.

However, on Nov 24, Rosaiah announced his resignation on the name of his age.

Reddy in the later part of the day, is expected to leave for the capital to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
