Satyam scam: Raju, 5 other surrender before court
The apex court rejected the bail of Raju and five others and had asked them to surrender before the trial court by Nov 10.
After the order, Raju moved to the Supreme Court with the appeal to get additional time to surrender. However, the court rejected the plea on Nov 9.
Ramalinga Raju with his brother B Rama Raju, former Satyam CFO V Srinivas and three other former employees of the IT firm - G Ramakrishna, Venkatapathi Raju and Srisailam surrendered before the trial court on Nov 10.
56-year-old Raju was arrested in Jan 2009 after he admitted to India's biggest corporate fraud. He was granted bail by the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Aug 18 on the ground that other accused had also been granted bail.
