26/11: Obama thanks CST rescuer Vishnu Zende

Barack Obama
Mumbai, Nov 6: After paying tribute to the victims of the Mumbai terror attack, President Barack Obama personally met and thanked Vishnu Zende, a Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus(CST) rescuer in Mumbai, who saved hundreds of lives during the 26/11 attacks by annoucing repeatedly to the people to exit from back entrance of the Victoria Terminus station.

This simple middle-aged man displayed tremendous presence of mind in beating those terror groups while they maniacally sprayed bullets around the station.

Observing that the firing was focused near the front entrance, Vishnu announced that, people leave VT station from the rear exit. In order to avoid panic-stricken commuters, Vishnu firmly repeated his instructions from the announcement office on exiting VT station from the back entrance, without revealing the seriousness of the situation.

When asked the number of people saved through his diligent act, Vishnu said he did not know the exact number but he said that he had saved many lives who were at the station.

Sources said at least 10 people were killed, including one police inspector and 30 injured in a terrorist attack at CST railway station on that dark night.
