Haryana CM honours CWG medalists with cash, cars

Sonepat, Nov 2: Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda along with Maruti Suzuki on Haryana Diwas (Nov 1) felicitated the athletes of the state, who won medals in Commonwealth Games 2010.

Attending a rally namely, "Chak de Haryana, Chak de India," Hooda honoured the medalists with Rs 15 lakh, Rs10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh and cars to the gold, silver and bronze medalists respectively.

The athletes of state had won 37 medals out of a total of 101 India had won in the 2010 Delhi Games.

To motivate all the athletes of the state, Hooda also promised to provide more cash rewards to them, who would win medal in 2012 London Olympics and other upcoming events.
