Dodging scams, Congress targets RSS

"Recent revelations through detailed investigations have exposed the true character of the RSS and its sister organisations. The investigations indicate the involvement of its members in terrorist activities," Pranab Mukherjee said while addressing the AICC meet at the Talkatora Stadium.
The party meet came on the occasion of the party's 125th anniversary.
The Finance Minister's remarks were part of the AICC statement that was circulated among those present at the AICC session in the national capital.
"The Indian National Congress will fight against all such sources that spread religious hatred, prejudice and bigotry and that seek to polarise our people along religious lines," the statement added.
While the Congress had plenty to say on RSS and other issues, the party leaders remained mum on the recent scam outbreak. Besides the allegations of corruption in connection with the Commonwealth Games 2010 (CWG 2010), the Congress has now landed in trouble over the Maharashtra Adarsh Society Scam.
