'Centre's economic policies are pro-capitalists'

Lucknow, Nov 2: Talking about the price rise issue in the country, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayawati claimed that the economic policies adopted by the centre are pro-capitalists, not pro-poor or pro-unemployed.

"Whatever are the economic policies of the Centre, they are not pro-unemployed or pro-poor, they are framed keeping in mind the capitalists which leads to price rise," alleged Mayawati on Tuesday, Nov 2.

After Congress President, Sonia Gandhi stated that for price hike, all states of the country also as responsible as the central government, Mayawati rejected Sonia's statement and claimed, "For any price rise, government at the Centre is completely responsible."

"A policy regarding prices of food grains, or any other items, is chalked out at national level it is not done by the states," added Mayawati.
