Rajapaksa arrived in the capital on Thursday to participate in the closing ceremony of the XIX Commonwealth Games as the guest of honour.
Dr. Singh and Rajapaksa most likely discussed issues of mutual concern over the lunch hosted at the Prime Minister's residence.
According to the experts, the issue of rehabilitation of thousands of Tamils who were displaced during the civil war will be high on the agenda.
