New Delhi, Oct 14: Over the last week Indian hockey team has managed to attract thousands into the Delhi Commonwealth stadiums with their electrifying performance. As the team gears up for the final bout against World Champions, Australia, news comes in of a very special guest attending the match - the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister Office (PMO) sources have revealed that Dr Manmohan Singh, alongside former Olympians, will be cheering for home at the Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday, Oct 14.

The Prime Minister, so far, has not attended any match in the Oct 3-14 multi-discipline sporting event. Dr Singh was only part of the opening ceremony of the Delhi Games.

Earlier, UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi cheered for India as they thrashed Pakistan 7-4 in a must-win match.

The team later took down England in the semifinals to set up a battle with the World Champs aiming for the Gold.
