Forest officials rescue python in Durgapur

Burdwan (West Bengal), Oct. 2 (ANI): The forest officials of the Burdwan Muchipara region in West Bengal's Burdwan district rescued an eight-feet long python from a residential colony.

The python was found near a factory in Durgapur town on Friday.

"This python was found in the premises of PCBL Company. The people there caught it and handed it over to the forest officials. The officials then brought it to their custody and took care of it. This is a python and we will release him in the nearby forest," said Kumar Bimal, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO).

The DFO also said that the python might have come from the nearby forest and would be released after giving it some medication. By Raja (ANI)
