Stop terrorism, India ready for talks: Rao to Pak

New York, Sep 28: Indian foreign secretary, Nirupama Rao requested Pakistan to stop all terror activities from its soil to pave the path for a sustainable talks between the two countries.

Rao pointed, "I don't think attention should be deflected away from the concerns that we have about terrorism and the need for Pakistan to fulfill its assurances that it will not support terrorism against India from its soil."

She also clarified, "Our position has been made very clear. We intend to persevere with a dialogue with Pakistan."

Rao also informed that during the meeting with secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, India's external affair minister, SM Krishna didn't raise the disputed Kashmir issue.

"This issue has never come up in our discussions," Rao said.
