Bihar polls: Congress declares 77 candidates list

New Delhi, Sep 28: The Congress party on Tuesday, Sep 28 announced the list of 77 candidates for the six-phase Bihar Assembly elections commencing on Oct 21.

PCC president Mehboob Ali Kaiser will be contesting from Simri Bakhtiarpur segment and CLP leader Ashok Ram will fight the elections from Kusheshwar Asthan seat.

According to AICC spokesman Shakeel Ahmed, Lovely Anand, wife of former MP Anand Mohan, has been given the party nomination from Alamnagar constituency.

Where as, Mahachandra Prasad Singh will be the candidate from Sahebganj.

Some of the other prominent name in the list are Asif Gafur, grandson of former CM Abdul Gaful from Barauli and former MP Nagmani from Morwa Assembly segment.
