AP: Telegana lawyers forcibly removed from HC

Hyderabad, Sep 17: The situation in Andhra Pradesh became worse when police on Friday, Sep 17, forcefully removed three lawyers from Telangana who had been on fast for the last four days.

Government has deployed more than 2,000 policemen around the high court complex as authorities moved to resume court work after three days of protest and violence by Telangana lawyers.

The demands of the lawyers were 42 percent share for the region in the appointments of law officers.

The lawyers were Thursday, Sep 16 arrested for attempt to commit suicide.

They were booked for going on an indefinite fast at the office of advocate general in the high court premises.

Now, only lawyers with identity cards and clients carrying documents were allowed inside the high court premises.
