Fresh encounter with Maoists starts in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Sep 10: Another massive encounter with Maoists occurred in Jharkhand's Dumka district at hilly jungles of Jama block on Friday, Sep 10.

A policeman was killed and another two were injured in the encounter, which started in the early morning on Sep 10.

Police officials informed, "The officer-in-charge of Jama police station Satanand Singh died on the spot when a bullet hit him in the head during the gunfight."

Two others, including a constable of Special Task Force, Ravi Shankar, were injured in the gun battle.
