BJP accuses Congress of politicising terror
"A criminal or a terrorist does not belong to any religion, or caste nor does terrorism have a colour. By using the term 'saffron terrorism' the Home Minister P. Chidambaram has insulted Indian culture," BJP president Nitin Gadkari said, accusing Congress of following a policy of appeasement and politicising terrorism which is dangerous.
In the backdrop of the Bihar hostage crisis, the BJP president termed Naxalism as a socio-economic and nationwide problem.
Calling for a uniform plan of action to deal with it, Gadkari launched another verbal attack against the government on the lack of singularity in stance on the Left Wing extremism.
While the Central government had formed an advisory committee to curb the activities of the outlaws, members of the committee were seen supporting Naxalism in TV shows on the subject, he said.
