Rajasthan: Girl raped, mob sets Rly station afire

Sadulpur (Rajasthan), Sep 1: An angry mob set fire a railway station after a nine-year old girl was allegedly raped by two persons in a railway guest house in Churu district of Rajastan on Tuesday, Aug 31 night.

The angry villagers of Sadulpur set fire the railway station along with General Railway Protection (GRP) and Railway Protection Forces (RPF) outposts after the news spread that two policemen on duty had misbehaved with the brother of the girl who was raped. A mob gathered outside the GRP and RPF outposts and beat up the 2 policemen before setting the station on fire.

Police arrested Manoj Meena and Jai Singh Meena for raping the girl on Tuesday, Aug 31 evening. Police also arrested other six villagers for attacking the railway station.
