Firm sues Apple, Google, Facebook over patent row

Allen's firm Interval Licensing accused 9 other major corporations like AOL, eBay, Facebook, Netflix, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples, Yahoo and Google's YouTube over the same allegations.
The claims involve four separate patents, most of which cover integral parts of how the companies named do business.
However, companies like Google, Facebook and eBay said that they would fight back to the allegation charge.
On the other hand companies like Apple, AOL, Office Depot, Netflix and OfficeMax rejected to comment on the issue.
Allen co-founded Microsoft in 1975 with Bill Gates but resigned as an executive in 1983 as he overcame a first bout with cancer.
