Sensex ends below 18k; IT, realty, auto drag

Top gainers were ONGC, GAIL, IOC, HPCL, BPCL, Tata Steel, Sterlite Industries, ACC and Reliance Communications.
The BSE Sensex closed at 17,998.41, down 227.94 points the NSE Nifty fell 69.20 points to settle at 5,408.70.

Market slips to red, Maruti, Ranbaxy, BHEL up
Markets dipped into red and the benchmark Nifty was trading at 5450 level. Financial, realty, technology and FMCG companies' shares along with Reliance Industries, Tata Power, Hero Honda, M&M, JSPL, Bharti, NTPC, L&T and Reliance Infrastructure were witnessing selling pressure.
Maruti, Ranbaxy Labs, Idea Cellular, Tata Motors, BHEL and Reliance Communications along with PSU oil & gas and metal companies' shares were witnessing buying interest.
At 2.30 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,127.59 down 98.76 points and NSE Nifty was 5449.00 down 28.90 points.
The active in trading were Reliance, Tata Steel, BPCL and SBI.
The top gainers were GAIL up 3.16 percent, Tata Steels up 2.72 percent, ONGC up 2.33 percent and BPCL up 2.14 percent.
The top losers were DLF down 2.91 percent, Infosys down 1.90 percent, Tata Power down 1.88 percent and Reliance Infra down 1.75 percent.

Market trades in green, Tata Steels, GAIL up
Markets were trading in green. PSU oil & gas, metal and telecom companies' shares along with Tata Motors, BHEL, HDFC, HDFC Bank, Maruti, Ranbaxy and ACC helped market to overcome the early loss.
The technology and FMCG companies' shares along with SBI, NTPC, Reliance Industries, Tata Power, DLF, ICICI Bank, Cipla, M&M and Sun Pharma were witnessing selling pressure.
At 12.30 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,239.87 up 13.52 points and NSE Nifty was 5480.75 up 2.85 points.
The active in trading were Reliance, Tata Steel, Infosys, BPCL.
The top gainers were Tata Steels up 3.93 percent, GAIL up 3.30 percent, BPCL up 3.22 percent and ONGC up 2.95 percent.
The top losers were Infosys down 1.95 percent, Tata Power down 1.84 percent, TCS down 1.45 percent and HCL Tech down 1.33 percent.

Market opens in red, Infosys, PNB down
Markets started trading on a flat note with a negative note. Weak global cues and fall in technology, telecom, financial & cement companies' shares weighed on markets.
Infosys, Ambuja Cements, PNB, Sun Pharma, M&M, Bharti, ICICI Bank, TCS, Idea, HCL Tech, Wipro and SBI were witnessing selling pressure.
GAIL, Reliance Power, JSPL, HDFC, IDFC, Reliance Communications and Suzlon Energy were gaining profit in early trade.
At 9.35 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,186.37 down 39.98 points and NSE Nifty was 5461.60 down 16.30 points.
The active in trading were Reliance, Tata Steel, Infosys, Tata Motors.
The top gainers were GAIL up 2.00 percent, Ranbaxy Labs up 1.08 percent, Tata Steels up 1.04 percent and Idea Cellular up 1.01 percent.
The top losers were Infosys down 2.17 percent, Ambuja Cements down 1.64 percent, DLF down 1.18 percent and TCS down 1.14 percent.
