Delhi gifts free bus rides to women on Rakhi
"On Rakhi, women passengers will be allowed to travel for free in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses, excluding AC buses, which operate between 8am and 5pm," transport minister Arvinder Singh is quoted as saying in a Times of India report.
Besides this, Delhi metro has also made special arrangements for the day. On Tuesday, Aug 24, Delhi metro will run 187 extra train trips and more staff will be deployed at stations.
