Jairam Ramesh to decide fate of Vedanta on Aug 24

Jairam Ramesh will announce the decision on the basis of the report submitted by a key government panel on forest clearance. On Monday, Aug 23, after meeting with Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Ramesh told that he will declare the decision on Tuesday.
On Monday, Aug 23 Orissa CM Naveen Patnaik met with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed about the various projects facing delays in the state. Later he told the media that PM had agreed for the Vedanta mining project.
But Jairam Ramesh told that he did not discuss the project with Naveen Patnaik and didn't gave any assurance on the project.
