Advertisers to focus more in Social Media
A new study in the field of advertisement found that the gaining popularity of social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace etc made a shift in the medium of advertising. According to the study the amount spent on social media advertisements will rise by 20 percent than in 2009.
US advertisers are expected to spend around $1.68 billion placing adverts on social networking platforms in 2010, with half being spent on Facebook, which has more than 500 million members worldwide.
US research firm eMarketer predicted that in 2011 Facebook will see an increase of 112 per cent in revenue from advertisements and advertisers will give more prominence to Facebook.
