Massive fire engulfs plastic factory near Kolkata

Howrah (West Bengal), Aug 11 (ANI): A massive fire engulfed a plastic factory at Howrah, the industrial hub near Kolkata here on Wednesday morning.

The fire started after 8'o clock in the morning and within minutes the entire factory presented a sight of massive inferno and dense smoke was seen emanating from the spot.

Twenty fire tenders were rushed to the site to contain the fire spreading to the adjacent industrial units.

Fire service personnel battled the flames for over five hours before the fire was brought under control.

The fire is said to have damaged material worth millions of rupees. (ANI)
