India plans satellite to monitor sea water levels
Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State for Science and Technology, told on Wednesday, Aug 11 that the satellite, Saral, will be launched in collaboration with French space agency.
Saral,
will
carry
an
altimetre
(ALTIKA)
for
studying
the
sea
surface
heights
and
an
ARGOS
payload,
which
is
a
satellite-based
data
collection
platform.
