L&T bags Rs 6500 crore project from JPVL
Mumbai, Aug 2: The engineering and construction major, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged yet another mega project from Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd (JPVL) worth about Rs 6500 crores.
JPVL, a Jaiprakash Group Power Company, has placed an order for the supply, erection and commissioning of Boiler-Turbine Generator package, Critical Piping, Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs), and Power Plant Automation for their 3x660 MW Power Plant being set up in Uttar Pradesh, L&T said in a statement on Monday, AUg 2.
The order will be fully commissioned in 60 months, with the first unit scheduled to go into commercial production in 48 months, the company statement added.
L&T had bagged the first order from JPVL in Aug 2009. The order comprising two supercritical units of 660 MW each and located in Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh is set to be commissioned in 2013.
