Curfew continues for second day in J-K
Srinagar, Aug 1 (ANI): Curfew remained in force for the second consecutive day on Sunday in violence-hit Kashmir valley following the death of six persons in firing by security forces since Friday.
The roads were deserted, as the security personnel patrolled the streets of Srinagar city.
Several neighborhoods in Srinagar and other towns like Baramulla, Sopore and Anantnag have been completely sealed as paramilitary and police personnel patrolled the streets to prevent civilian mobilization and further demonstrations.
Vehicular traffic and movement have been completely restricted by security officials.
Earlier on Saturday, curfew remained in force in several parts of Kashmir, including Srinagar after two youngsters were killed during police firing in the Sopore region of the Kashmir Valley.
At least 19 people have been killed in the clashes between protesters and security forces since June 11. (ANI)
