Prajapati case: CID files chargesheet against cops
Ahmedabad, Jul 30: Gujarat Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has filed chargesheet against three IPS officers and four other police officials in the encounter case of Tulsi Prajapati.
The CID filed the chargesheet against the IPS officers, DG Vanzara, Vipul Agrawal and Dinesh MN, and other officials in Danta court of Banaskantha district of Gujarat on Friday, Jul 30.
Tulsi Prajapati was killed in Dec 2006. He was the only witness to the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter in Nov 2005.
The CID filed a 1000-page chargesheet which accuses with murder, kidnapping, giving false evidence and conspiracy.
The CID had arrested Banaskantha SP Vipul Agarwal and inspector Ashish Pandya in the case. The other two IPS oficers Vanzara and Dinesh have been in police custody for over three years in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.
