Price Rise: Parliament adjourned for the day
New Delhi, Jul 29: Despite the Adjournment Motion being rejected, the Opposition continued its protest against price rise leading to the adjournment of both the houses of the Parliament for the day.
The cries against price rise stalled the proceeding at Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for the third day. The Opposition called for the discussion under a rule that entails voting.
Opposition parties such as BJP, SP and BSP shouted slogans and rushed to the well causing a pandemonium as they demanded for discussions.
While Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj expressed disappointment over rejection of the Adjournment Motion, NDA convenor and JD(U) President Sharad Yadav said the opposition is finding it hard to figure out how to confront the Speaker.
Just within minutes of assembling, both the houses were adjourned till noon. However, as the bedlam continued when the proceedings resumed, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till Friday, Jul 30.
