No bar to Facebook in Goa prison

Panaji, Jul 19: Now prison bar is not the limit for the Israeli drug dealer David Driham alias Dudu for updating Facebook.

Dudu, who was arrested for possessing a narcotics cocktail, had been updating his friends using Facebook mobile from behind prison bars.

Dudu had also uploaded several photos of his Valentine's Day celebration with his fiance, which was incidentally a few days before his arrest.

Accessing the internet or mobile phones is against prison regulations.

The drug dealer is presently lodged in the Aguada Central jail, 12 km from Panaji.

When asked how an under trial could update his Facebook wall via mobile web when lodged in a prison cell, District prison officials rejected to comment.

"The assembly session is on. We cannot say anything on the issue," said a prison official.
