Two faces to head Facebook India

Chennai, Jul 16: Facebook on Thursday, Jul 15 announced the appointment of Krithiga Reddy and Manoj Varghese as director of online operations and director of user operations respectively.

Krithiga and Manoj will be heading the social networking site's India operations, which is poised for a huge expansion, the company said.

Both the new heads will be working at Facebook's Hyderabad office.

"We've spent the past few months searching globally for a strong candidate capable of leading Facebook's ambitious operations in India," Facebook global online operations-director Don Faul said.

Krithiga Reddy was earlier working as vice-president and general manager at Phoenix Technologies in Bangalore, while Manoj was director (people operations) in Google India before he was awarded this posting at Facebook.
